This map represents approximately 4,500+ miles starting west of Portland, Oregon along the coast in Astoria and heading east through the Columbia River Gorge and the Lewis & Clark Trail, across Idaho along the Clearwater and Lochsa River and over Lo Lo Pass, into Missoula, MT, to Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and Grand Teton National Park, east across Wyoming to the Bighorn Mts., into the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota, east through Minnesota and Wisconsin, a traverse of Michigan's Upper Penninsula, then south through Michigan, east across Indiana and Ohio, hugging Lake Erie into Pennsylvania and Lake Ontario and the Adirondack Mountains in New York, over the Green Mountains in Vermont, then into New Hampshire, and finally north of Portland, Maine to Bar Harbour. |
